Setting up your team in Sturdy Bolt, step by step
How the owner of a small team claims the Sturdy Bolt workspace, starts the trial, invites each person at the right role and puts the first week of work in, and what the workspace does by itself afterwards.
Before you start
You need a work email address at your company’s own domain and a card for the trial. Sign-in is by a link and a six-digit code sent by email, so there is no password to set or forget.
1. Claim the workspace
Open https://sturdybolt.com/auth and create an account with your work email. The first account from a company’s email domain claims the workspace for that domain and becomes its Super Admin; it confirms its inbox and accepts the Terms of Service before anything else opens. The workspace’s data belongs to it and is kept apart from every other company on the platform.
2. Choose the plan and start the trial
Plans are sized by the number of people in the workspace (15, 30 or 50), and every plan includes every module. Pick the one for the team you will invite, paid monthly or twelve months at once, and enter a card: the 14-day free trial starts at once, and the first charge comes when it ends unless you cancel before then. The prices are on https://sturdybolt.com/pricing, read from the billing system.
3. Invite your people at the right role
On the Admin page, invite each person by their work email, up to the plan’s number of people, at a role: Standard for most of the team, Admin for the people who assign tasks and keep the calendar and the workflows. Only the Super Admin can invite someone as an Admin or a Super Admin. The invitation arrives by email, and the role is applied the first time that person signs in.
An invitation works only for your company’s own email domain. A colleague who signs up with that domain without an invitation joins as Standard; the user list on the Admin page changes a role or deactivates an account later, and every change is recorded in the audit trail.
4. Put the first week of work in
Add the week’s tasks with their due dates and assign each to its owner; everyone can also add their own tasks from My Day. Each person’s My Day lists their tasks in the order they need doing, and each task moves through Viewed, In Progress and Completed, every step timestamped. Sturdy Bolt alerts the owner when a task is within 24 hours of its deadline, and alerts the owner and the administrators if the deadline passes.
Put the dates that must not slip on the Calendar: contract renewals, supplier price changes, regulatory deadlines, seasonal peaks. Each date has a lead time and an owner; from the start of the lead time the owner is reminded every day until the date passes, and a recurring date rolls forward by itself.
Then build one workflow for a process the team repeats, as a chain of steps. When someone finishes a step, the person whose step it unblocks is told automatically, so nobody has to send a message to say the work can start.
5. What the workspace does next
Every Monday the Sturdy Bolt Agent writes the weekly audit under AI Reports from the workspace’s own record: what went well, where work is stuck and what to change. A deeper monthly report follows on the first of each month. Every report says it was written by an A.I. and can contain errors or omissions.
The Help page answers questions about each section, and business@globalvibing.com reaches a person.
